大学城
2005年3月2日发行。
玩家可以把家庭中的青少年送入大学城就读，成为在大学城当中居住的年轻人。游戏新增了命理界、演艺界、艺术家、生物学家，四种不同的职业。只有完成了大学的人物可以选择新职业，并且拥有额外两个期望。
特别人物：僵尸。玩家对死亡的人物进行复活手续不完整时，死亡的人物就会以僵尸的姿态复活。
夜生活
2005年9月13日发行。
游戏内新增了“城区”，玩家可以将人物送往“城区”内进行娱乐、约会，以及参加各种联谊活动，例如打保龄球、打牌、跳舞、上餐馆吃饭等等。在这个版本中，人物可以购买自己的汽车，不一定要再借由出租车来外出。
特别人物：吸血鬼。在游戏内，吸血鬼是以NPC的身份登场，而该NPC可借由“咬脖子”的动作将玩家操纵的人物转变为吸血鬼。

2006年3月1日发行。
游戏内新增了“蓝水小村”。玩家可以操纵人物，购买房地产、经营店铺，甚至雇用邻居作为员工。店铺可以开设在公共区域或是住宅内。
特别人物：机器人。由工艺技能高超的人物制造。启动之后，该机器人就成为家庭成员。机器人只靠太阳能就可以维持运作，没有寿命的限制。

玩家可以饲养狗和猫作为宠物，并训练自己的宠物来赚钱。玩家可透过责骂方式阻止宠物进行某些行为，以及透过称赞方式来鼓励宠物。游戏新增了保全业、娱乐业、服务业三种不同的宠物职业，就像是模拟人的工作，宠物必须履行一些事情来赢得晋升。
特别人物：人狼。模拟市民被狼群的头狼咬过后就会成为人狼。
缤纷四季
2007年2月27日发行。
游戏中新增了四季天气系统 — 春季时下雨和打雷、夏季的炎热天气使人面红耳热、秋季时满地落叶、冬季时下著使人醉心的白雪，这都使玩家能享受到各个季节带来的乐趣和真实感，此外玩家亦须注意温度不会令到市民生病。游戏亦新增了对应不同季节的活动元素 — 春季的花园种植系统和扑蝶、夏季的水池游戏和捉扑萤火虫、秋季的钓鱼活动和农作物收获、冬季的溜冰活动和搭建雪天使等。
特别人物：植物市民。绿色植物人来自自然的田园大地（其实是农药中毒造成的变异），只有阳光，水分，爱心这三项需求。与机器人相似的是绿色植物人可使用一盏特殊的吊灯，让植物人的“阳光需求”得到满足。
游遍天下
2007年9月4日发行。
模拟人生可以探索三个各有特色的旅游景点，包括三湖镇（Three Lakes）、梦泉乡（Takemizu Village）及提基岛（Twikkii Island），并在旅游区里购买度假小屋或入住酒店套房。此外还能穿戴耳环、戒指、项链等的饰物，以及在旅游景点里遇上忍者、海盗、火焰舞者、老隐士，甚至是小偷等的NPC人物。
特别人物：野人（大脚怪）。玩家可以在三湖镇的隐之穴中发现野人，如果和他成为好朋友的话，就可以邀请他回你的家哦！野人跟普通市民没有什么太大区别，只不过饿得快。
休闲时光
2008年02月发行。
新资料盘中市民将拥有更多锻炼技能、增进友谊的方式，且充满各种意想不到的惊喜，菜鸟模拟市民可能会发现坐在制陶轮旁制作不对称罐子的独眼熊、在远足时遇到有毒的藤蔓，或是遭遇其他难以预料的各种状况。
《模拟人生2：休闲时光》资料片让技能精进的市民打造全新、独特的物品，供模拟市民在日常生活中使用，包括衣物、陶器等。市民还可以贩售自己设计的艺术品或是工艺品，或是参加舞蹈、烹饪和电玩游戏大赛，与竞争对手一较高下。
玩家可透过发掘第二目标以及拓展对生命的期望，让自己的模拟市民独树一格，模拟市民可以透过嗜好上的成就解开秘密奖励，及晋升全新职业。

2008年8月22日发行。

特别人物：巫师（男巫或女巫）。分为善良，中庸，邪恶，残酷的邪恶三大阵营（邪恶均为一个阵营），不同的阵营可以施展不同的魔法，每个阵营大约有四十种魔法。巫师还可以制造各种魔药，需要到自己所属阵营的秘密会所去购买原材料。巫师还能骑着飞天扫帚四处游荡，成为重要的交通工具。早在一代的时候，魔法就是一个受欢迎的题材，相信这次EA的作品一定够震撼。
